Sail Bremerhaven 2010
The international festival of Tall Ships from 25 - 29 August 2010
When Bremerhaven together with the Free Hanseatic City Bremen invites to the International Windjammer Festival „Sail Bremerhaven 2010“ for the eigth time since the 150th anniversary of the founding of Bremerhaven, it is not only because of tradition and lived history.
Not only because of the beauty and elegance of the large and small ships. And not only for the reason of presenting the new Bremerhaven of the year 2010 to as many people as possible. As those events before, the „Sail Bremerhaven 2010“ would like to create its own identity and image. She is a message and ambassador all in one for a city, which is united to and has grown with the sea, like no other city.
More than 5.000 meters of windjammers and special ships of all sizes, classes and types will meet on the quays, led by the barque „Gorch Fock“ of the German Marine fleet. The „Sail Bremerhaven 2010“ offers a diverse family program on land, at sea and in the air. Look forward to one of the largest harbor markets on the coast, the entire range of culinary delights and more than 100 individual events in the new tourism complex „Havenwelten Bremerhaven".

I had the pleasure of visiting Bremerhaven and the Sailfest 2005. The weather was horrible but the Sailfest was a great festival..I enjoy this website it brings back a lot of memories.
